ABOUT CLINTON WAYNE
How They Got Here
Just a real quick rundown about myself. I've been playing and singing since I was a kid in church. My dad, Lee Sturgeon, taught me to play bass and put me on stage at church at the age of nine. I grew up singing in church with my family, we still perform today on occasion. In my twenties, I was a founding member of a Texas bluegrass band called Cadillac Sky. Playing in that band gave me the opportunity to play and sing at places like the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman, the Station Inn, and many others that are on every one of us wannabe singers bucket lists. Because we were so busy, and me having a young family, I bailed after feeling like I couldn't handle being on the road so much.
After taking some time away from music for about five years, I joined a classic country cover band, out of Denton Texas, called Raised Right Men. Through this band I have learned a lot about the music business, how to perform as a front man, and how to survive a four hour show. Though I'm booking my own shows on occasion, I still enjoy perform with RRM today.
In the summer of 2020, I recorded my first country album. The album title is Blues On Parade, and you can soon find it online, or just message me here. I'll let you know what forms of payment, and you can let me know where to send it.
Thank you for visiting my site, please drop me a line and let me know how you learned about this page, if you feel inclined. Be blessed, Clinton.
